Send Ted Hayes To Congress

Midway through the 20th Century, almost 100 years after President Lincoln wrote and delivered the Emancipation Proclamation, white Americans were awakened to a painful truth; Millions of American men and women, descendents of freed slaves, were being treated like second and third class citizens. In some parts of this nation, they were treated worse than stray dogs.

The Great Persecution

Since 1866, the year after the Civil War to end slavery in the United States until the passage of the Congressional Civil Rights Act in 1964, Black citizens were legislatively forced to travel in segregated portions of public transportation such as sitting in the back of busses.

The notorious Black Codes prevented Black citizens from patronizing "whites only" venues such as institutions of learning, restaurants, clubs & bars, parks, places of recreation and all other places of public concourse. Black citizens even had to wait in line to drink from water fountains designated for "colored" only.

Like no other ethno-racial group under the jurisdiction of the United States, Black American citizens suffered the persecution of shame and humiliation associated with national bigotry and racism.

Heal America

It is an injury that has plagued all the citizens of America since it was first inflicted at the inception of this great nation and has festered without proper treatment unto this day, wrecking havoc upon the children of the founding fathers.

Given a series of events both political and social, Americans finally awakened to this reality and the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960's began.

Free At Last?

With leaders like Martin Luther King and other Civil Rights activists, as well as courageous elected officials such as the late Republican Senator, Everret Dirksen, the 1964 Civil Rights Act and subsequent laws were acquired at the federal, state, county and municipal levels that outlawed and prevented abuses so commonly committed against American Black US citizens.

These laws permitted individuals born in the United States of America according to the edicts and mandates of the Promissory Note of the Fourteenth Amendment of the US Constitution granted 4th, 5th and 6th generation Americans-to finally enjoy the basic rights so many White citizens, including immigrants, took for granted.

The Civil Rights Movement was their battle and pathway to full citizenship. It was a battle fought in the streets, in the schoolhouses, and in the courts of America for decades.

The Stolen Dream

It was founded on a dream that all men would someday be judged not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

Because of the sacrifices made by these courageous Americans who were willing to put their lives on the line, Civil Rights exist today for all US citizens no matter what their race, religion, nationality or creed.

However, there is a growing number of people in our country who are claiming that their civil rights are being violated in the United States of America. These men and women are Persons Here Illegally.

They have stolen across the US border and claimed this country as their own home. Moreover, with the advocacy of organizations like the ACLU foreign nationals are actually demanding the rights available only to citizens of the United States. According to the ACLU,
"The Immigrants' Rights Project of the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation was established in 1987 to expand and enforce the civil rights and civil liberties of non-citizens and to combat public and private discrimination against immigrants."
The Civil Rights that took American Blacks decades to acquire are being handed to persons here illegally because they have successfully evaded authority and circumvented the legal process.

This is a civil rights issue, but the question is "Who's Civil Rights are we most obligated to protect according to the Constitution of The United States?"

The Price or Freedom

There cannot be any discussion of immigration reform that does not include the impact that illegal immigration has on the African American community.

Those most impacted by the flood of persons here illegally will not be left to fend for themselves. The price of freedom was too great; the sacrifices made for Civil Rights were too painful to be frivolously handed over to those who are criminally within the United States, as shameful American citizen imposters.

The economic challenges faced by those from other countries deserve our compassion and our concern, but they do not equal the price paid in the journey from the bloody shores of West Africa in the crowded and foul hulls of wooden ships to the land of liberty; from the auction blocks of slavery to the voting booth of freedom; from the plantation to the state assembly; from the back of the bus to the freedom to live, work and worship with every other American citizen.

No, the road to citizenship was too painful and too costly to devalue by keeping it out of the so-called "comprehensive reform."

Comprehensive Immigration Reform Discussions

Before we can engage in any discussion of rights for migrant workers and those claiming entitlement to civil liberties, we must remember the sacrifices that were made by Americans in the name of liberty.

For the sake of all American citizens, we cannot allow the fate of American Blacks to be kept out of the discussion.

When jobs, services, and money for education are diverted away from black communities and given to persons here illegally, we are stealing from poor American citizens to give to the poor foreign nationals illegally in the United States.

Some say that our Congressional Candidate to the House of Representative is attempting to ignite some sort of race war, however, nothing could be further from the truth, because the war against American Black US citizens, proven patriots to the United States, has been here for a very long time.

With the election of Ted Hayes of the 35th District, will be the beginning of politicians no longer being able to cast blame others for that which they have too long ignored...their Oath of Office to defend and protect the Constitution of the United States.

Warning Elected Representatives and Candidates

If any government official or candidate for public office falters to stand up for Black US citizens and include them in talks of so-called immigration reform, then they are not qualified to represent any American.

Given the refusal of Elected Black Representatives to speak up on behalf of Black Americans in regards to illegal immigration, we see no option but to replace them with an American Black, White, Brown, Yellow, et al who will have the courage of their convictions and the willingness to challenge and change the status quo.

Here Comes Ted Hayes

Someone who has demonstrated by his actions and in the face of insurmountable challenges, proven he can achieve the impossible dream.

It is for this reason, we, Americans of every race, creed, religion and political affiliation have come together to form the, "Draft Ted Hayes for Congress Committee".

Who else has demonstrated that he can and will be a voice for the Black American as it fights for its very salvation against the illegal immigration policies which are consuming and decimating the black community?

Who else has shown the courage of his conviction and mobilized Americans to lead modern day Civil Rights marches and bring the plight of Black Americans to National attention?

Who else has stood up to current Representatives and taken the challenge directly to her front door in Washington?

Who else has put himself in harms way by speaking out against illegal immigration and its impact on Black Americans?

There is only one man who can accomplish the task at hand and that man is Ted Hayes!
